25 beats made in 25 days with 25 $1 records. The $25 Beat Tape.

This tape is an experiment in sampling.
I wanted to make each track entirely out of samples from 1 record and no other sounds added.

Lots of EQing and layering. Getting percussion sounds out of records that had barely any open drums. Combining songs in different keys to fit together was also a challenge.

What it comes down to is I have a lot of records pulled from the dollar bin and I never listen to them. So I'm squeezing every drop of funk, grime, soul and grit out of them.
